Night Markets and Flytography

One of my favorite discoveries a few years ago was hiring a local photographer on vacations. The pictures are priceless!

Last night, we headed to the Barranco district to meet our photographer. We stopped by a local market and dined at Rustica. The drinks were good, the food? Well, I speak Spanish pretty fluently but I don’t know all the words. We ordered a type of meat and when I asked in Spanish, “what type of meat is this?” She replied, “red meat?” It wasn’t our favorite and a google search back at our hotel revealed it was chicken gizzards.

Today, we headed out on foot to another local market. Tried some chicharron and ceviche.

Trying new things, even when you don’t like them, is the spice to a life well lived.
